Timber structure school complex that uses existing boiler to supply extension. Elementary school ground floor built in masonry and first floor in timber structure. Asbestos removal, plumbing, electricity and cooling.
Insulated timber frame walls contribute to internal comfort and reduce space heating consummation. Ground level patio reduces volume of storm water held on site. Classrooms and dining halls ventilated by dual duct ventilation system with high performance heat recovery. School required air tightness of envelope to exceed performance reference level. Permeability test undertaken on completion of construction.
