Rehabilitation and extension of 1000-pupil Jules Hardouin/Mansart high school. Also, 3-storey day school building, workshop, school canteen and existing plant buildings. Reconstruction of 1000-meal school canteen, staff accommodation and science building.
Particularités Techniques - EN
Project built in multiphases on occupied site; existing structure substantially altered. Major asbestos removal operation required before starting the rehabilitation work. Asbestos was found in floor finish glue, in cladding and elevation panels. Work required containment plans; one column in two removed. New structure composed of 20° inclined, cast in situ concrete walls.
