Refurbishment of 1980s socio-cultural centre in Axe Majeur-Horloge neighbourhood, Cergy.
Conversion and construction of new buildings after demolition.
Centre comprising 500-seat auditorium, 790/700-seat modulable multi-purpose hall, classrooms, music studios, offices and community spaces.
Technical characteristics
Refurbished building: major conversion and replacement of timber by steel frame, as required.
Reinforced concrete structure.
Double flow mechanical ventilation with heat recovery in concert halls and studios.
Environmental characteristics
Relatively compact project and little glazing.
Envelope thermal performance ensured by insulation thickness that provides insulation superior to thermal regulation requirements.
