Programme

Construction of an aquatic complex comprising:

• A 25m x 20m athletic pool with 10 lanes and a depth of 1.30m to 2m,
• A 15m x 10m activity pool,
• An edutainment area for children,
• Two foot baths,
• Inner decks around the pools constitute a relaxation area.

Technical characteristics

The site is set to be a type X, category 3 public access building (301 to 699 users) with a maximum bather load of 650.
The pool area will include : 25 m x 20 m swimming pool comprising 10 lanes and with a depth of 1.30 to 2 metres; a 15 m x 10 m activity pool; an edutainment area for children; two footbaths; all with indoor beaches surrounding the pools and forming a relaxation area.
Disabled access will be facilitated by the ramp and anchor points positioned alongside the pool, making it possible to install an immersion device.
The outside spaces extend from the entrance forecourt, in front of the project’s north side.
The Aquatics Centre will have an inner courtyard with a ramp leading to the building’s basement, which will contain the project’s back-of-house areas.
This inner courtyard will be accessed via the small vehicle car park (approximately forty spaces) to the east of the building.
A coach park will be available for use on the forecourt.
On the south side of the centre, an outdoor solarium will be created close to various facilities including a volleyball court.
